In this Privacy Policy, we explain how we process your personal data, which categories of personal data these activities include, and the purpose and legal basis for these processing activities. We also explain when and why your personal data is disclosed to third parties.
In this Privacy Policy, we also inform you about your rights in connection with our processing of your personal data and any transfers we may make of your personal data.
2. General statement on the applicability of this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to our collection, use and processing of your personal data. We collect, use and process your personal data when you use our service as a customer or prospective customer. This includes when you use our website or mobile applications and book a taxi with us, or use other services either directly or via a third party (e.g., travel agencies or other airlines), or communicate with us by telephone, email, social media or similar channels.
Please note that when you interact and/or communicate with another service provider, this Privacy Policy does not apply. You may contact the relevant provider to obtain information about its collection, use, processing and protection of your personal data. However, personal data related to interactions with any of those service providers that is sent to or received by us as part of our service is governed by this Privacy Policy.
Taxiteknik is the "data controller" in relation to the processing of your personal data under this Privacy Policy. This means that Taxiteknik is responsible for defining the purposes of processing your personal data and for compliance with data protection legislation. You will find our address and contact details at the end of this Privacy Policy.
3. Taxiteknik’s processing of your personal data
3.1 Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and disclose your personal data when you use our service and otherwise interact with us as described below. It explains our data processing activities, their purpose, the categories of personal data covered by those activities, and the legal basis for them.
3.2 Booking or other services
When you book a taxi or other products or services from Taxiteknik, you will be asked to provide information such as your name, telephone number, email address, and payment details if you have created a profile with us.
When you change your booking or otherwise request our assistance, we will process the personal data mentioned above that we have collected from you. We use your name and contact details to keep you updated about your bookings. This may include sending you reminders via push notifications, SMS or email about your booking (e.g., the vehicle number), as well as notices of any disruptions if your taxi is delayed or cancelled. When you travel with us, it may involve services provided by third parties, and we will share your name, contact details and other relevant information with such third parties where necessary. The purpose of these processing activities is to provide you with the products and services you have booked with us.
You must also provide your payment details (e.g., card number and expiry date), in addition to other personal data, in order to complete payment. This information—particularly your name, address, email address and IP address—will be disclosed to our payment service providers for the purpose of receiving your payment and completing your booking. If you request a refund, this information will also be processed.
To comply with our statutory obligations, we may disclose your information, for example to your card issuer or the police. For this purpose, the information we process may include your name, address, email address, IP address and payment information.
The information you provide for booking and booking management will be stored for up to ten years, or until it is no longer necessary for us in order to protect and defend Taxiteknik.
The legal basis for the processing described in this section is the performance of a contract (our terms and conditions governing your booking), our legitimate interests in operating our business, and/or compliance with a legal obligation.
3.3 Creating your profile and managing your account
You are welcome to create a profile with Taxiteknik. This will improve and simplify your booking experience and enable us to provide you with more relevant communications on the website and in other channels, as well as allowing you to choose how you would like us to communicate with you. For these purposes, we will collect personal data such as your email address, address, mobile phone number and other information we may ask for, which you decide whether you want to provide. You will then have a personal user account on our website or in our mobile applications, which you can access via your computer or devices. You can manage your personal account at any time by logging in with your email address and password.
Your profile data will be deleted if you request it. The easiest way is via the booking app or by contacting us by phone or email. See more information about your rights in section 6.
The legal basis for the processing described in this section is the performance of a contract (our terms and conditions governing your booking and profile), and our legitimate interests in operating and managing our business.
3.4 Personalizing your account
Taxiteknik strives to make our service and communications more personalised and user-friendly. We want your experience with us to be relevant to your personal preferences and needs. To do this, we use data about how you use our digital services (website, app, etc.) and combine it with other data we have about you to determine what information you are most likely to want to receive, how you want us to communicate with you, through which channels and how often, etc.
When you start a new booking, we may, based on your previous bookings, pre-fill your details in the current booking form using information from your earlier booking process. This includes, for example, the pick-up address you have searched for or travelled from, your name and your contact details. The purpose of this processing is to simplify your booking process so you can save time and your booking runs more smoothly.
The legal basis for the processing described in this section is the performance of a contract (our terms and conditions governing your booking and profile), and our legitimate interests in operating and managing our business.
3.5 Customer support
Taxiteknik offers various types of customer support to assist you. In order for us to provide customer support, we will process your personal data to identify you and help you in the best possible way. You can contact us by phone, email or letter, or via social media; and when you communicate with us in any of these ways, we help you with requests, questions or feedback regarding our services. Depending on your request, question or feedback, you may be asked to provide additional personal data, such as your credit card number.
To maintain our service level, we may perform data testing of our websites and mobile applications when an error occurs or when changes have been made to our system, which includes processing your personal data. This enables us to troubleshoot (to eliminate technical issues) our systems, to correctly display any changes that you or we have made that are relevant to you, and to ensure that these websites and mobile applications function properly.
We also produce reports and statistics by analysing the data you have provided to us, such as your name and contact details. The purpose is to improve our service and provide you with a better user experience the next time you use our services.
If we detect unusual activity on your account, we will take necessary measures. This may include processing your personal data.
The information you provide for booking and booking management will be stored for up to ten years, or until it is no longer necessary for us in order to protect and defend Taxiteknik.
The legal basis for processing your data as described in this section is your acceptance of the general terms and conditions under which you use our services and our legitimate interests in operating our business.
3.6 Marketing
To help you get the most out of our offers, we will send you emails or otherwise draw your attention to various activities and offers, which may include newsletters, unique offers based on your preferences, or information about other special or seasonal offers. For this purpose, we will process your email address, booking history and history of campaign participation.
We may also send offers related to your upcoming bookings via email; for this purpose, we will process your email address and booking history.
Taxiteknik strives to be as relevant as possible for each customer across different digital channels. When you are logged in to your user account, we use the information you have registered with us, including booking history and campaign participation, online behaviour and other data to try to communicate with you as relevantly as possible.
The legal basis for the processing described in this section is your consent (where required) and our legitimate interests in operating and improving our business. You can manage your consents when you create your profile with us or at any time later via your user account settings. Please note that withdrawal of consent does not affect processing carried out on the basis of consent given before its withdrawal.
4. Why Taxiteknik discloses personal data
We do not sell your personal data to other companies for marketing purposes. We share your personal data only in the following ways:
Where part of your booking involves a service provided by a third party, we may share your personal data with those third parties.
With our third-party suppliers, who perform services or work on our behalf and under our instructions as data processors, for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.
To protect and defend Taxiteknik (including enforcing any terms and conditions); or
To public authorities or governments where required by law, regulation, legal process or an enforceable request from an authority.
We may also share aggregated data with our business partners for various purposes, for example to improve our service, for system administration, statistics, research and analysis.
If you do not want to disclose your personal data to us, we may not be able to provide the service you request or inform you about other products and services we offer.

These rights may be limited in certain situations—for example, where we can demonstrate that we have a legal obligation to process your data.
Where we require personal data to fulfil certain legal or contractual obligations, the provision of such data is mandatory.
